Angie Macfarlane – BA (Hons), Dip.Couns, MBACP Accred.

Welcome. It’s a privilege for me to sit alongside clients on their counselling journey and to hear their story as it unfolds. I believe that you are the expert on yourself and that my job is to hold a mirror up so you can see things from a different angle, uncovering answers in the process. I create a warm confidential space, free from judgement, where you feel safe to begin exploring your issues, whether they be personal, professional or relationship based. I will help you develop understanding, self-awareness and coping mechanisms as you decide how to move forward.

I am a fully qualified and experienced Integrative counsellor, and I have worked with a wide range of clients and issues in various counselling services over several years. I am an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework. My background is in Health and Mental Health, with a career spanning 17 years.

I have a particular interest and passion for working with loss and bereavement, and have Advanced Specialist training status in this with the National Counselling Society. I have previously volunteered as a Bereavement counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Care.

As an Integrative counsellor I tailor the therapy to you, because I understand that everyone is unique. I weave various theories together including Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, and Psychodynamic to find the best way of supporting you and meeting your individual needs.

“I am not defined by my scars, but by my incredible ability to heal.” ~ Lemn Sissay
